Baltimore’s humidity destroys standard bathroom paint within months, mold spots, peeling edges, and wasted money. We’ve spent 25 years perfecting moisture-resistant painting systems that actually last in bathrooms across Canton, Fells Point, and Federal Hill.
Whether you’re refreshing before a sale, repairing water damage, or updating to match new fixtures, we handle complete surface prep, specialized priming, precision painting, and thorough cleanup. Most projects finish in 1-2 days with minimal disruption. As a licensed bathroom remodeling contractor (MHIC 95803), we know exactly how paint performs in Baltimore’s humid conditions, no peeling, no shortcuts, no callbacks.

Has never fallen short once in the multiple jobs ive had for them. Had them tear up our parking pad most recently.Posted on Roger Brown2025-10-12Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Trademark did an excellent job with constructing my house. Travis was proficient at supplying excellent vendors and companies to complete the construction. The construction was completed on time and without any flaws. Almost six years from my date of occupancy, his work has withstood the test of time. Aside from power and window washing, the house has required no additional maintenance. Prior to construction, Travis was very helpful in suggesting design changes which increased space for a minimal increase in cost.Posted on Karen Kelch2025-10-09Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Update: we had Trademark back to install a new matching dishwasher, range, and range hood. The work included a new full electrical line for the range as we switched from a "dual fuel" to a full gas range and only needed a 120 outlet. The fit is excellent, all materials and trash removed, old appliances disposed of, all working. Thank you Marvin and Mike :-) After a great experience with a total bathroom renovation back in 2012, we again had Trademark perform a smaller job this time - remove a 38 year old SubZero built-in and rework the space for a counter-depth refrigerator. As the SubZero was much taller and left a large opening above the new refrigerator, their designer Nona spotted a fix immediately: remove the larger wood panel that matched the cabinets from the SubZero, size and then mount it to create the appearance of a matching cabinet above the new refrigerator. Their carpenters Marvin and Mike did great work with the wood panel and the rest of the "box", creating an attractive install rather than a "workaround". As we're planning a total kitchen renovation later in the year, this was a great solution to let us install a freezer that actually stays cold now until we're ready for the rest of the renovation :-)Posted on Charles James2025-09-26Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This is our second time working with Trademark Construction, and we couldn't be happier. We were so impressed with the kitchen and bath renovation they did for us five years ago that we didn't hesitate to hire them again for a major kitchen remodel in our new Towson home. From start to finish, Vasilios and his team consistently deliver exceptional service. We love that their easy online scheduling and the small consultation fee are both incredibly valuable. We were also very impressed with their professionalism and project management abilities. They use online software that allows us to see the schedule and monitor our entire project from start to finish. Trademark Construction is not only MHIC licensed, but they also hold a master plumbing license, which allows them to handle all plumbing installations. This is a huge bonus! We highly recommend them for any kitchen, bathroom, basement, or full-home remodel.Posted on Tom Paradis2025-06-06Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The material was priced fairly , well packed in protective shipping material, and delivered exactly according to plan. The Team also has offered to provide any assistance that I may need when I install it. I recommend Trademark Construction and Onyx Collection material for any remodeling projects.
Professional bathroom painting in Baltimore requires careful prep work and moisture-resistant products to handle our humid climate. Here’s the process we follow on every project:
Start by removing fixtures, hardware, and outlet covers, then protect your floors and tub with drop cloths. Clean walls thoroughly with TSP or a degreaser to remove soap scum and oils, this step prevents paint adhesion failure. Rinse completely and let the walls dry. Repair any cracks, holes, or damaged drywall with spackle or joint compound, then sand smooth and wipe away dust. Caulk gaps along the tub, trim, and corners to seal out moisture.
Apply a stain-blocking primer designed for high-moisture areas, this prevents mold growth and locks in old stains. Paint walls with semi-gloss or satin acrylic latex in two full coats for durability and easy cleaning. Finish with trim and ceiling work, then reinstall hardware after a full 24-hour cure time. Rushing the cure leads to damaged paint and callbacks.
Homeowners in Canton, Fells Point, and Federal Hill face high humidity from Chesapeake Bay proximity. Your bathroom walls absorb moisture every time you shower, and within weeks, the wrong paint formula starts breaking down. Semi-gloss or satin acrylic paint creates a barrier that resists water better than flat finishes. The sheen helps moisture bead up and roll off instead of soaking into the wall surface.
We add mildew-resistant additives to both primer and topcoat. Baltimore’s humid summers bring consistent 70-80% humidity levels that create perfect conditions for mold growth. Standard interior paint fails quickly in these conditions. The right paint system keeps your walls looking fresh for years instead of showing mold spots within months.
We use products specifically formulated for high-moisture environments. These paints contain antimicrobial agents that actively resist mildew colonization. The investment costs slightly more upfront but saves you from repainting every two years.
Older rowhomes in Hampden and Mount Vernon often hide cracked plaster or peeling paint behind outdated wallpaper and fixtures. Without proper prep, your fresh paint fails within months. We scrape loose material, fill holes with spackle, and sand surfaces smooth before any paint touches your walls.
Old caulk around tubs and sinks harbors mold and prevents proper adhesion. We remove all deteriorated caulk and apply fresh beads after painting for clean lines and watertight seals.
Pre-1950 homes frequently contain lead paint that requires safe removal or encapsulation before repainting. We follow Baltimore City lead paint laws and regulations to protect your family. Our EPA Lead-Safe certification means we handle proper containment, testing, and cleanup. Licensed contractors must follow these rules, unlicensed handymen often skip them entirely.
Water damage creates another challenge. Stains from old leaks bleed through standard paint. We apply stain-blocking primer to seal these areas permanently and prevent tannins and minerals from migrating through your fresh topcoat.
Many Patterson Park and Pigtown bathrooms lack exhaust fans or windows, which creates serious painting challenges. Without controlled airflow, you’ll see bubbling, slow drying, and uneven sheen.
We bring dehumidifiers and position fans strategically to create the conditions paint needs to cure correctly. Too much humidity leaves paint tacky for days. Too little airflow causes lap marks where wet edges dry too fast.
Winter painting in Baltimore’s unheated bathrooms requires careful temperature control. Paint needs a 50-85°F range to cure properly. We bring portable heaters and monitor temperature throughout the project. Cold paint thickens and won’t flow smoothly.
Cold walls prevent proper bonding, and the paint appears fine at first but peels within months once you start using the bathroom again. We monitor humidity and temperature multiple times daily, adjusting equipment as needed.
We never rush applications when conditions aren’t right, that’s how quick jobs fail within a year. Your bathroom faces moisture every single day. The paint application must account for this reality from the start, not after problems appear.
Fresh paint ties your entire bathroom remodel together. When you install new tile, vanity installation, or modern lighting, dingy walls make everything look unfinished. Coordinated paint colors and crisp edges complete the updated look without replacing everything in the room. Fresh walls make your existing fixtures appear newer and more valuable.
We cut razor-sharp lines where walls meet trim, ceilings, and bathroom cabinet installation areas, this takes steady hands and quality brushes, not just painter’s tape. We paint trim in colors that complement your walls: white trim brightens small bathrooms, while matching trim to walls makes ceilings appear higher in cramped spaces.
Baltimore’s historic rowhomes often feature high ceilings and detailed crown molding. We bring scaffolding and extension poles for safe, precise trim work at any height. An accent wall behind your vanity adds visual depth without overwhelming the space. We’ll help you choose colors that enhance rather than shrink your bathroom.
Many homeowners pair fresh paint with bathroom renovation projects to completely modernize their bathroom. These updates work together to transform outdated spaces into contemporary retreats. We protect all surfaces during work and deliver crisp lines throughout. Professional finishing shows in every corner and transition, that’s what makes your investment look complete.
Whether you’re selling your Baltimore home or ensuring quality before final payment, you need a thorough walkthrough. We inspect every corner for missed spots, drips, or uneven coverage before you move furniture back. Our inspection happens with you present so we can address concerns immediately and fix any issues on the spot.
We inspect during daytime because natural light reveals imperfections that artificial light hides. We examine walls from multiple angles and distances, what looks perfect straight-on may show flaws when light hits at an angle. We fix these issues before we consider the job complete.
As a Maryland licensed contractor (MHIC 95803), we meet state standards for insurance, bonding, and business practices. This protects you financially if problems arise. State law requires licensing for jobs over $500, but unlicensed contractors still operate in Baltimore, when you hire them, you assume all financial risk and have no recourse if problems occur.
Our final inspection catches issues while we’re still on site with tools in hand, not after you’ve paid and we’ve left. We document the completed work with photos and provide you with leftover touch-up paint, including product names and codes for future use.
Our 2-year labor warranty covers every Baltimore bathroom painting project. If workmanship issues appear during normal use, we return and fix them at no charge. That’s our confidence in the moisture-resistant systems and surface prep we’ve discussed throughout this page.
